Foreclosure Doesn't Have to Happen to You or Someone You Know.

We have been lucky in Austin where we've had fewer foreclosures on Real Estate due to a comparatively stable economy. I talk to each of you regularly and it seems most of you are doing fine.

However, even in Austin there has been a rise in foreclosures and defaults.  If you or someone you know is in this unfortunate situation now is the time to act. This month's Item of Value will explain the ins and outs of foreclosure, how you can avoid it and what your various options are. I've also explained what a short sale is as it's a term many of you are hearing more often today and broken down the pros and cons of foreclosure vs. a short sale.
